Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of txdecode, the pay-per-call x402 transaction decoder operated by txdecode.

Last updated: June 14, 2026.

1. Service description

txdecode is an x402-native API that decodes confirmed base transactions into a human-readable action plus normalized asset movements. The service exposes a single endpoint, GET /api/v1/decode/{txHash}, priced at $0.005 per call in USDC on base via the x402 protocol. Full request and response details are in the decode endpoint documentation. By sending a request you accept these terms.

2. No accounts, no warranties

There are no accounts, sign-ups or API keys. Access is gated solely by x402 payment. The service is provided “as-is” and “as-available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. Decoded output is a best-effort interpretation of on-chain data and may be incomplete; see the documented known limitations. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for financial, legal or tax decisions.

3. Pricing

Calls are billed in USDC on base through x402. The current price is $0.005 per call, flat — the same with or without query options. Prices may change; any change is published as a new API version with a corresponding version bump, and the price in effect at the time of your request applies to that request. See the pricing page for the current rate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Per-IP rate limits apply before payment; details are in the endpoint rate-limit documentation.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, txdecode is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the calls giving rise to the claim during the preceding thirty days.

6. Refund policy

There are no refunds, by design. Each call is an atomic micropayment settled at request time, so there is nothing to reverse. This is fair because failed calls cost nothing: Non-200 responses are never settled — errors never cost $0.005. Only a successful HTTP 200 response is settled; any error response is never charged. See the error reference for which responses are billable.

7. Termination

We may block or rate-limit IP addresses that abuse the service or violate these terms, with or without notice, and we may suspend or discontinue the service at any time. Because there are no accounts, there is nothing to deactivate on your side; you may stop using the service at any time.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
